Glengoyne White Oak is a single malt bottled at 48% ABV, and a first for the distillery. It is matured only in first fill bourbon casks and virgin oak casks sourced from North America.
The casks are charred for less than a minute, which lets the Glengoyne spirit show itself without heavy wood influence.
The nose has vibrant wood, bright citrus, unripe banana and a hint of violets. The palate is soft and playful, with creme brulee, fruit gums and pineapple, and the long, smooth finish brings toffee apple.
