This is a 12-year-old Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from Glenkinchie, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It matures in American oak casks.
The distillery stands near Pencaitland in East Lothian and was founded in 1825. It is known for the largest wash still in Scotland and an unusual rectangular cast-iron worm tub.
The nose is fresh, with green apple, lemon zest, cereal and gentle floral notes. The palate is soft and sweet, with lemon cheesecake, milk chocolate and a little cedar. The finish is medium, with cinnamon, ginger and creamy malt.
