This Glenkinchie is a 17 year old Lowland single malt, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2026 by Bartels Whisky Ltd. for its Highland Laird series. It matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead and was bottled from that single cask at 56.5% ABV, giving 265 bottles. It is not smoky, non-chill-filtered and free of added colour.
The nose offers light malt, vanilla, ripe apples and pears, with dark raisins and sherry sweetness. The palate is dry and robust, with a malty base, roasted almonds and creamy caramel. The finish brings spicy oak and a fine peppery note.
