This is a 15 year old Glenlivet single malt distilled in 1990 and bottled at cask strength by Gordon & MacPhail in 2015. The independent bottler has long been regarded as a Glenlivet specialist and fills its own casks of the distillery's spirit.
The colour is straw. The nose offers apples, walnuts and a little leather, becoming chalkier with touches of eucalyptus when water is added. On the palate there are sharp fruits, mainly lemons and green apples, with some rhubarb, a touch of honey and a hint of Tabasco sauce. The finish is very long, leafy and fruity.
