Glenlivet Nádurra is a small-batch Speyside malt bottled at cask strength, 60.7%, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in Oloroso sherry casks. The name is a Celtic word meaning natural.
The nose is balanced and rich, with toasted and charred oak, orange marmalade and fresh apple. On the palate come dates, fruitcake and winter spices, then pepper, oak and walnut. The texture is almost oily and the finish is warm and suitably long. A few drops of water open it further, and ten minutes in the glass also helps.
