This is a 50 year old single cask Glenlossie from a hogshead, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd in its The Auld and The Bold series. It is bottled at 44.6% in a 70cl bottle. The cask influence is light, which leaves the spirit at the centre.
The nose offers candle wax, beeswax polish and delicate florals, then green apple, peach and bright citrus. Age has added depth and texture rather than obvious oak. The palate is oily, carrying candied ginger, toasted malt and gentle spice through to a long, composed finish.
