This is a 13-year-old Glenlossie from Speyside, matured in a single hogshead. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024 from cask 1290 for the Glens & Valleys series from Berry Bros. & Rudd.
It was bottled at its cask strength of 56.2%, with natural colour and no chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines green apple and sweet pear with heather, a soft touch of vanilla, floral honey and malt. On the palate, honey and barley meet white pepper and lively lemon, with milk chocolate and green herbs. The finish is medium to long, creamy and malty, with almond, gentle oak spice and a nutty note that turns the chocolate towards nougat.
