Glenlossie – 2013/2023 Small Batch (Berry Bros & Rudd) (70cl, 46%)

A Speyside single malt from Glenlossie, bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd as part of its Small Batch series. Three hogsheads were selected and their whiskies married. The spirit was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 46%, in an outturn of 856 bottles. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered. The vatting keeps Glenlossie's light, fruity style and adds sweet and spicy impressions. It is not a smoky whisky. The nose starts with spiced vanilla yoghurt, followed by warm orchard fruit and green sweets. The palate is fresh, with apple and pear alongside honey, caramel and spicy clove sweets. The finish is long, with sweet fruit returning in waves while the wood spice lingers.
