Glenlossie – 40 Year Old 1982/2022 Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection Refill American Hogshead

This Glenlossie is a single cask Speyside malt from the Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection. It was distilled in October 1982 and matured for forty years in one refill American hogshead, then bottled in 2022. It is unfiltered and uncoloured, and comes in a wooden case with a geometric grain pattern. The nose offers lilac and lily with pale grapes, apples and berries, plus almond, clove and dry hay. On the palate, juicy peach and mango meet blackberry and fine chocolate, with dry grass and oak spice. The finish is very long and fruit-led.
