This is an 8 year old single malt from Glenlossie in Speyside, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Provenance range. It was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2021 at 46% ABV, from a refill hogshead. The outturn was 390 bottles, each in a tube, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is round and rich, with complex vegetal and earthy notes that come close to smoky without losing a meaty character. The palate is much sweeter than the nose suggests, with a sugary style set among juicy barley. The finish stays sweet, with caramel and vanilla and a late touch of autumn fruits.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
