Glenmorangie – Sherry Wood Finish 12 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Glenmorangie (Highland). Aged 12 years, bottled at 43% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry cask finish. One of the earliest examples of the distillery's pioneering wood finish programme, this was launched along with the Madeira Wood Finish in 1996, joining the Port Wood Finish of two years earlier. A Burgundy Wood Finish completed the quartet when launched in 2002. This version was produced until 2007 when it was rebranded as The Lasanta. Not stated on the domestic release, the US packaging confirmed the continuation of these as 12-year-old expressions. A Highland malt distillery located near Tain along the Dornoch Firth. It was founded in 1843 and is today owned along with Ardbeg by the French multination, LVMH. The distillery's primary focus is its single malt brand, renowned for being produced using Scotland's tallest pot stills.
