Glenrothes 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's Soleo Collection, a name taken from the Soleo process in Jerez, where grapes are sun-dried before sherry is made. It is matured for 12 years entirely in sherry-seasoned oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has lemon zest, vanilla, melon and fresh banana. The palate is soft and creamy, with melon, cinnamon, vanilla and a touch of sherry richness. The finish is sweet and lingering, with delicate fruit and light spice.
