This is a single cask Glenrothes, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 at nine years old and 64.2% ABV. It was matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt and forms part of the Plume collection, which is dedicated to sherry-cask-aged whiskies.
The nose is rich and powerful, with dark chocolate, liquorice, candied apricot and dried fruits, moving towards orange, quince, linden honey and Tiger Balm. The palate adds toffee, raisin bread and carrot cake, then orange blossom, geranium and iris. The finish is long and slightly tannic, with slate, vanilla, praline, cardamom and clove.
