Glentauchers – 13 Year Old 2009 The Octave Duncan Taylor (53.5%)

This Glentauchers is a 13 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 by Duncan Taylor at 53.5%. It is a single cask release, with 82 bottles filled. It comes from The Octave range, in which Duncan Taylor gives selected whiskies a finish of several months in sherry octave casks of about 50 litres. This one spent 9 months in octave after its time in oak casks, following the bottler's motto of small casks, bigger whisky.
