This is a single cask Glentauchers from Speyside, distilled in October 2008 and matured for 14 years in a sherry cask. Duncan Taylor bottled it in May 2023 at its natural cask strength of 54.6%, filling 692 bottles of 70cl. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings intense dried fruit, dark chocolate and fine spices. The palate is full and powerful, with ripe cherries, nuts and sweet sherry alongside caramel, honey and a hint of orange, while malt and spicy oak give it a drier edge. The finish is long and warming, with lasting sweetness, oak spice and a light dryness.
