Glentauchers – 14 Years Cadenhead Original Collection (70cl, 46%)

This is a 14-year-old single malt from Glentauchers in Speyside, bottled independently by Cadenhead as part of its Original Collection. It comes at 46% in a 70cl bottle, from an outturn of 117 bottles. The whisky is thought to have matured in sherry casks. On the nose there is burnt sugar, light spice, toffee and vanilla. The palate is balanced, with sweet sherry notes, sweet grapes, berries and vanilla, joined by earthy and vegetal tones and gentle spices such as nutmeg and white pepper. The finish is medium in length and warm.
