Glentauchers – 15 Year Old 2008-2024 Sherry Octave Cask (Duncan Taylor) (70cl, 54.1%)

A 15 year old Speyside single malt from Glentauchers, bottled by Duncan Taylor from a single sherry octave cask. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024 at 54.1% abv, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in oak and was then finished in the sherry octave cask. Duncan Taylor has matured whiskies in smaller casks for more than forty years, on the idea that a small cask gives more contact with the wood over a shorter time. The outturn is 87 bottles.
