Sauternes hogshead finish
This is a 17 year old single malt from Glentauchers, a Speyside distillery near Keith. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled by Alistair Walker for his Infrequent Flyers Collection. After maturation it was finished in a single hogshead that previously held Sauternes, the sweet white wine of Bordeaux. The finish adds honeyed, stone-fruit richness to the light, fruity and grassy spirit the distillery is known for. It is bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
