This is an 18 year old Glentauchers single malt from Thompson Bros. It was distilled on 8 June 2006, matured in two refill hogsheads and bottled in October 2024 at its natural strength of 52.4% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour. Only 408 bottles were filled.
The nose is dry muesli, lemon curd, raisins, toasted barley and dried coconut, with sourdough toast, lemon peel, elderflower cordial and lime wine gums. The palate is creamy and citrus-led, with fresh zest, lemon posset, toasted barley, oats, salted butter and vanilla sponge. The finish is long, with grapefruit juice, citrus peel, spearmint, chalk and ground ginger.
