This is a single malt from Glentauchers, distilled in 2008 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels range, in a 70cl bottle. It is golden in colour.
The nose offers stewed apples with vanilla pod and crystallised orange peel, with raspberry compote and fragrant cinnamon developing alongside. The palate is smooth, with apple and pear alongside demerara sugar, then clove and tangerine giving way to aniseed and a hint of white pepper. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering spice and walnut.
