This Glentauchers was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 after 13 years in two first-fill sherry butts. It is edition 6.4 of La Maison du Whisky's Artist Collective, in the Antipodes collection, and is bottled at 48%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The label carries Peinture idéographique IV by Yanis Khannoussi, with red lines on a blue ground.
The nose is rich, with incense, pink pepper, sandalwood, cedar, bitter orange and candied apricot, later lavender and wild geranium. The palate opens with guava, mango, lilac and heather honey, moving to quince jelly, apricot jam, cocoa and ginger. The finish is long, with biscuit, salted butter caramel, orange peel, cinnamon and clove.
