Glentauchers – 2011-2023 11 Year Old Carn Mor Strictly Limited (70cl, 47.5%)

This is an 11-year-old Speyside single malt from Glentauchers, distilled in 2011 and bottled in early 2023 by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers for their Carn Mor Strictly Limited series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 47.5%, without colouring or chill filtration. It was drawn from a small batch of Amontillado sherry casks that yielded 1496 bottles. The tasting note describes crushed amaretti biscuits and mascarpone over stewed apricots, with creamy fruit and biscuity flavours.
