This is a single cask Glentauchers from The Whisky Cellar's Private Cellars Selection. It was distilled in June 2011 and bottled in June 2023, after twelve years in a first fill bourbon barrel. Cask 406 gave 230 bottles at 56.4%, with no chill-filtration and no added colour.
The nose brings brioche, salted butter and lemonade, with sweet barley malt, light fruit and oak spice. The palate is full and sweet, with creamy malt sweets, salted caramel and buttered toast, then lemon peel, ripe pear and spicy oak. The finish is long and gentle, with buttery pastry, light fruit and sweet grain.
