This is a 29 year old Speyside single malt from Glentauchers, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 1995 and matured for 29 years in a single first fill sherry butt. Bottling took place on 27 August 2024, with 594 bottles filled. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers ripe mandarin and dark raisins, with roasted coffee beans and a little coconut cream. The palate brings lemon, red currants, cinnamon and creamy vanilla, with roasted hazelnuts. The finish is long, with oak spice and dark forest berries.
