This Glentauchers is a 30-year-old Speyside single malt from independent bottler North Star Spirits, released as Cask Series 028. It was distilled in March 1996, matured in a refill barrel and bottled in June 2026 at 55.7%, yielding 125 bottles.
It is non-chill-filtered and shows its natural colour.
The nose opens with warm, buttery apple strudel, barley sugar, cinnamon and dried orange slices. On the palate come fruit pastry and dried fig rolls with creamy white chocolate and vanilla. The long finish returns to apple and pear, with finely crushed pistachio.
