A 28 year old Highland single malt from Glenugie, distilled in 1966 and bottled in 1994 by Gordon & Macphail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is gold in colour.
Glenugie, also known as Invernettie, closed in 1983.
The nose begins with mint tea and hot sultanas, then moves to sparkling orangeade and honey, dry and slightly gingery. On the palate sultanas return with minty tones, liquorice root and honey. The finish is fairly long and maltier, with a salty edge and an aftertaste of salted liquorice.
