This is a 29 year old Glenury Royal, a Highland single malt distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1999 at a natural cask strength of 57%, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from Diageo's Rare Malts, a selection of single malts from working and lost distilleries that Diageo released between 1995 and 2005.
Glenury Royal closed permanently in 1985 and the distillery has since been demolished, so no new whisky will come from it. Relatively few bottlings of its malt were released.
