GlenWyvis – Batch 01/19 (70cl, 46.5%)

A single malt from GlenWyvis, the community-owned distillery in the Highlands, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2019, matured for four years and bottled in July 2023, with 12,000 bottles produced. The maturation used a mix of casks: 24 first-fill ex-bourbon, two each of first-fill ex-red wine, ex-moscatel and ex-marsala, and four refill hogsheads. It is non-chill-filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.5%. The nose is sweet grape and honeysuckle blossom. On the palate come Bramley apple sauce and fruit crumble, and the long finish brings oak, dark chocolate and clove.
