Goalong – Vigorous Chinese Single Malt (70cl)

A Chinese single malt in a 70cl bottle from the Goalong distillery, which sits in the basin of the Liuyang River. Goalong holds more than 6,000 casks of maturing whisky in its warehouses. This one matured in a combination of bourbon casks and STR wine casks (shaved, toasted and re-charred). The result is a floral profile with vanilla, honey and rounded fruit. The nose combines rich malt and sweet nectar with oak and vanilla. The palate is elegant and delicate, creamy and full-bodied, with nutty sweetness and cinnamon. The finish is full, with nectar, light honey and gentle smoke.
