This is a 10 year old single cask Aultmore from Speyside, bottled at 52% by Goldfinch Whisky Merchants as part of the Goldfinch Bodega Series. The cask was first-fill oloroso sherry and gave 308 bottles.
The whisky is in natural colour and has not been chill filtered.
The nose is described as coffee beans coated in dark chocolate and raisins covered in honey, with the sweetness balanced by savoury oak. The palate has butterscotch and a malt biscuit note, with stewed fruits, orange and a herbal character. The finish brings coffee marzipan, wood spice and oak.
