Gordon & MacPhail Benromach 1982 Burgundy Finish 'Private Collection' (59.9%)

This is a 1982 Benromach from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Private Collection. It matured for almost four decades in a single first-fill Burgundy cask, picked by hand by members of the Urquhart family. It was bottled at a cask strength of 59.9% abv, with 207 bottles filled, and comes in a wooden box. The nose is sweet orchard fruits with cocoa. On the palate there are raspberries, black pepper and lemon peel, followed by a full finish that lingers with fruity notes.
