This is a single cask Highland single malt from the Fettercairn Distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 2007 and aged for 17 years in a refill American oak hogshead.
It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is waxy lemon peel, ripe tropical fruit, a little coconut and malted biscuit. On the palate it is sweet and creamy, with lime, mango and pineapple against cracked black pepper and light oak spice. The finish is long, warm and spicy, with tropical fruit, cocoa powder and soft charred oak.
