This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from Miltonduff, matured in sherry casks and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Discovery range. Discovery bottlings are organised around a flavour profile, and this one is the sherry-matured style.
The nose has chocolate and orange marmalade, stewed raisins, baked apple and a touch of cut grass. The palate is sweet and spicy, with butter candy, roasted hazelnut, orange zest, cinnamon and pepper, moving to plum and fig jam. The finish is long, with chocolate, stewed fruit and winter spice.
