Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Label Glentauchers 2008 (70cl, 46%)

This is a 2008 Glentauchers from the Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Label range, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. The whisky was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2022. The nose brings stewed apples, vanilla pod and crystallised orange peel, with raspberry compote and fragrant cinnamon developing alongside. On the palate, apple and pear sit with demerara sugar, then clove and tangerine give way to aniseed and a hint of white pepper. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering spice and walnut.
