This is a 25 year old Glenburgie, a limited release in the Distillery Label range from Gordon & MacPhail. It was matured in American oak and is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky has been looked after in Gordon & MacPhail's warehouses since the start, and the range reflects the long relationships built over generations between distillery and bottler.
The nose opens with vanilla, followed by apple, tropical notes and a hint of spice. On the palate it is smooth, with pineapple, peach and lime zest balanced by black pepper. The finish is fruity, with menthol.
