This is a single cask Imperial, a Speyside single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail exclusively for Belgium. The whisky matured from 1995 to 2013 in a first fill sherry butt, cask 4892, and 617 bottles were filled. It was bottled at a cask strength of 59.4% ABV, with no added colour and without chill filtration. The nose combines sweet fruit and spice, with red dried fruit, spices and a hint of chocolate wrapped in sherry. The palate is full and spicy, with dark berry fruit, spiced oak, dark chocolate and a touch of aniseed. The finish is long, leaving berry fruit and oak.
