Gordon & Macphail Private Collection Banff 1975 Cask 3623

This is a 1975 Banff single malt from the Private Collection of Gordon & Macphail, drawn from cask 3623. Banff Distillery was built in 1824 and established itself in the Highlands. A fire destroyed its maltings and warehouses, and bombers in the Second World War ignited casks and spilled whisky across the surrounding land. The distillery closed permanently in 1983. The whisky is described as having deep, rich flavour and long, lingering spice.
