Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection Benromach 1982 39 Year Old Burgundy Finish (70cl, 60.2%)

This is a Benromach distilled in 1982, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Private Collection. It spent 39 years in a single first-fill Burgundy cask and was bottled at a cask strength of 60.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Members of the Urquhart family selected it personally. The nose is stewed apples and milk chocolate. On the palate come summer berries and black pepper alongside citrus fruits, leading to a lingering, full finish.
