A 40 year old single malt from Lochside, distilled in 1981 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection. It is in a 70cl bottle at 49.2% ABV.
Sherry aromas sit with fragrant mandarin peel, salted almonds, raspberry compote and a faint malted biscuit note. On the palate come roasted coffee beans, walnuts and stewed raisins, with blackcurrant jam, Seville orange peel and red apple.
The finish is long, with lingering hazelnuts and cocoa powder.
