Gori Merlot Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC - Toni Vasût

A red Merlot from Colli Orientali del Friuli. It is ruby red with violet reflections and has an intense nose of ripe red fruits such as plum and cherry, with sweet spice, a light touch of vanilla and barrique influence. On the palate it is full and velvety, with good acidity, soft but present tannin and a promise of longevity. The grapes undergo cold maceration followed by controlled fermentation, then ageing in barrique for several months. It pairs with red meat, game and aged cheeses.
