Gran Centenario Gallardo is a limited-edition Extra Añejo tequila made for slow, neat sipping. It is aged for over three years in oak, including new American and French oak, then finished in Bordeaux casks. The house describes aromas of vanilla and oak, with flavours evoking banana, fig, apple, nuts and red fruits, and a long, smooth finish. The IWSC 2025 tasting panel noted rich agave and toasted sherry-spice aromas, plus a balanced palate showing dark plum, liquorice, coffee sweetness and plenty of vanilla.
Tasting Notes
Prominent vanilla and oak up front, followed by a richer, darker layer that reads like sherry-spice warmth and polished sweetness; fruit notes suggest fig and ripe orchard tones, with a subtle floral lift.
Silky and composed, with sweet oak and vanilla framing agave richness, then widening into dark-fruit nuance (plum), a hint of liquorice and a gentle coffee-like sweetness; Bordeaux-cask refinement shows as a glossy, red-fruit polish.
Long, smooth and luxuriously tapered, with vanilla and oak lingering alongside soft spice and a faint fruit echo.
