This is a 1980s bottling of Grant's Stand Fast, a blended Scotch whisky in a 1 litre bottle. Stand Fast is the slogan of Clan Grant, as the old label notes.
It is gold in colour. The nose offers apricot, mirabelle, flower honey and ripe pear, with vanilla, menthol and aniseed. On the palate it is smoky, with smoked meat, cocoa, tobacco, salt and smoked tea. The finish is medium, salty and ashy, with bitter oranges and herbs.
