Gryphon & Grain Single Barrel California Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 48%)

Gryphon & Grain Single Barrel is a five-year-old California bourbon from Copper Cane Spirits, bottled at 48% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is made from estate-grown Northern California Mapes Ranch red corn, red wheat and malted two-row barley, and is double-distilled. It aged five years in a proprietary blend of new charred French and American oak barrels. The name honours Queen Califia's legendary army of gryphons from the novel behind California's name. Brown sugar, toast, grain and dark fruits come on the nose. The palate is full and chewy with peanut brittle, vanilla, leather and baking spice, and the finish brings almond and cola.
