Guerin Vermouth Rouge (75cl)

Guerin Vermouth Rouge is a sweet red vermouth from the Charentes in south-west France, made by Société Puy Gaudin in a 75cl bottle. The base is Merlot and Cabernet wine blended with red Pineau des Charentes, caramelised grape juice and botanicals including angelica, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, nutmeg and bitter orange peel. It is aged for several months in Cognac casks. The Puy Gaudin family built their name on Pineau after the Second World War, and this vermouth follows the same approach. Fresh cherries come first with a light green edge, then a soft, frank and well-balanced palate. Coriander and red fruits show on the finish.
