Hakushu 12 Year Old is a Japanese whisky bottled at 43% ABV. It is regarded as a long-standing favourite among those discovering Japanese whisky. Hakushu is owned by Suntory, the company that founded Yamazaki, the first Japanese distillery. The original Hakushu distillery was built in 1973, and a second distillery building, Hakushu Higashi (east), was added in 1981.
