A small batch bourbon from Hand Barrel, made from a mash of 64% corn, 24% rye and 12% malted barley. It is non-chill-filtered.
The spirit enters American white oak barrels charred to Char #4, at between 105 and 115 proof, and is bottled at 105 proof. The wood gives vanilla, toasted caramel and oak spice.
On the nose there is vanilla, oak and winter spice. The palate opens with vanilla oak before cinnamon and clove, and the finish is bold, with a little sweetness.
Tasting Notes
