Hardin's Creek 8 Year Low Distillation Profile is a Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co., in a 70cl bottle at 54.5% ABV (109 proof). It is one of three expressions in the Distillation Series, in which the mash bill and fermentation stay the same and only the first-distillation setting changes. Here the low-wine target is 105 proof. The nose is rich caramel, toasted nuts and earthy oak. The palate has dark baking chocolate, concentrated caramel and pronounced barrel char, and the finish brings roasted nut, charred oak and earthy cocoa.
