Hart Brothers Blended Malt 8 Year Old is a blend of Highland single malts, each at least eight years old, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It contains no grain whisky, and the character comes from the selection and marrying of different malts rather than from one distillery. It has no added colour.
Hart Brothers was founded in 1964 by Iain and Donald Hart, and Alistair Hart joined in 1975 as chief blender.
The nose is delicate and fruity, with soft vanilla and fine herbs. The palate is balanced and medium dry, with summer fruit, barley and lightly toasted oak. The finish is long, velvety and creamy, with vanilla, marzipan and a nutty note.
