Hatozaki Finest is a blended Japanese whisky from the Kaikyo Distillery in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It combines malt and grain whiskies, with at least 40% malt, and includes whisky aged up to 12 years.
The blend is aged in sherry, bourbon and Mizunara oak casks.
The nose is honey and floral notes with citrus and lemon zest, then almond and honeydew. The palate is smooth and light, with honey, lemon zest, honeydew melon, gentle smokiness and spice. The finish is medium, with peppery warmth and a dry, clean close.
