This is a Hazelburn 10 Year Old from Campbeltown, matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the 2025 edition.
Hazelburn belongs to the Springbank family of malts. It is made from air-dried, unpeated malt and distilled three times in copper stills. It was first bottled in 1997.
The tasting notes begin with a sweet, tropical nose of baked pineapple, lemon sherbet, honeycomb and dried orange peel. On the palate, green apple and a slight vegetal note sit alongside a creamy touch of custard creams. The finish brings salted caramel, ginger, toasted coconut and a mineral note.
